I think I've confused myself.

So there's the dedpop netlabel, and there's the Jammy Toast podcast. I thought that renaming Jammy Toast to the dedpop podcast (or dedpod) would be a good idea, and simplify everything. But now I think that may have been a mistake. I like Jammy Toast. I think I'm going to have to change it back.

It's like having two houses. You'd think it'd be really good, but actually it's just annoying cause you can never find your favourite pants. Kinda.

We're in the process of updating the podcast, making it a bit more "radio". So there's probably more nonsense talked than there used to be. Also, I'm really out of practice. It may take me a couple of shows to get back into the swing of things.

So it's finally here, show 14 of the Jammy Toast electronica podcast. Just to ease back into things I decided to put together a mix of tracks taken from the Dedpop netlabel, which I also run.
Then I recorded a slightly strange intro to the mix, in which I called my future wife a "goonface" repeatedly, and offered precious little in the way of real information. I hope you all enjoy it!

Moldy toast! I must apologise...

...to anyone who has been wondering what on earth happened to Jammy Toast. Well, the simple answer is, certain other things got in the way. Life, running a business, buying a house, starting a netlabel, you get the idea.

But the plan is, and I truly mean this, to bring back the Toast for '09. I'm going to be more organised, and probably do shorter shows, around 30 mins each. The first episode of 'New Jammy Toast' should be online by the end of this month!

In the meantime, please check out my label Dedpop for some freakin' awesome electronic music downloads. It all free, stick it on your pod!

I KNOW! It's bad, I just stopped doing the Toast, without warning. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to, I've just been crazy busy with Dedpop and life and stuff. But Jammy Toast isn't dead. At least, I don't think it is. I'm going to try really hard to revive it. In the meantime, I suggest everyone go and listen to bleepshow, because it's really good. Love!

Wooooooooo! Today I have uploaded the first release to the dedpop.co.uk netlabel. It's a 12 track compilation full of quality tunes from Jammy Toast artists. Go and get it and listen to it and love it and be happy. I'm going to bed.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalright? Show ten is here and I have to say, I'm pleased with it! Sometimes a show just feels right, and this is one of those. As always, I've been impressed by the quality of tracks people have sent me.

'Slice of the week' award has to go to The Method Most Used for his track 'Photographs of the past' which is just stunning! Keep listening and keep on sending those tracks in.

Record Label

I'm setting up a record label! Yes, you heard me right friends, a record label. It's going to be a lovely net label, the releases will be free (to start with anyway) but they will be very very good.

What is this label called? I don't know yet, I could call it 'The Jammy Toast Record Label' or similar. That might be a terrible idea, what do you think friends? Let me know!

One of the first releases on the label will be a compilation. I am gathering music for this compilation like a squirrel gathering nuts for his... nut compilation. I want it to be amazing. I would like it to be 12 tracks (this seems like the right number to me) and ideally it would be good if they were exclusive. Listening figures

Currently we have around 100 regular listeners (as far as I can tell from the rubbish stats page on Jellycast.) which is great! But you know what would be greater? Go on... have a guess. That's right, more listeners!

More listeners would be good for 2 main reasons;

1. More people hearing the amazing artists I play
2. A lovely ego boost for me

So if you are a featured artist, loyal listener or me (which I am) It would be appreciated if you would do some promoting. This is easy, I've created a nice little banner which can be placed on your myspace page (get the code) or you can email your chums, put Jammy Toast in your top friends on myspace or maybe just harass people in the street. These are all valid methods.

I leave you with a motivational 'Go to it people!' or, if you prefer, 'Lets do this!'

Alright there good buddies? As you will hopefully be able to tell, I've given the site a facelift. But the updates are not merely cosmetic. Over the next few weeks I'll be adding nice things, starting with free music. I know, you're thinking, 'we already get free music on the podcast' and you're correct. But I'm talking about exclusive EPs, remixes and maybe even the odd compilation. Sound good?
